Mushroom & fungi identification course

Wild Food People run a dedicated mushroom identification course near Ruthin in North Wales. Richard Prideaux and Amy lead the courses; the school operates between the Clwydian Range AONB and Snowdonia National Park.

The mushroom course is the focused fungi day, aimed at building confidence to identify wild mushrooms in the UK. Distinguishing edibles from lookalikes is the through-line, and habitat sits at the centre: what grows where, and why.

The day runs alongside their coastal and woodland foraging courses. Content shifts with the season: what appears in a given week decides the exact focus, not a fixed syllabus.
