Wild Food People run coastal foraging near Porthmadog in North Wales. Richard Prideaux and Amy lead the courses; the school operates between the Clwydian Range AONB and Snowdonia National Park.
The coastal course focuses on edible species of plant, seaweed and shellfish that can be found on the British shoreline. Practical rather than encyclopaedic: what's edible today, what to look for next time, how the tides shape what's out there.
The day includes a beach cook-up of the finds — the point is that finding food and using it are the same discipline, not two separate ones.
Stated philosophy is Authentic. Ethical. Sustainable, with active involvement in habitat management alongside the teaching. Groups accommodate mixed experience levels; a specific cap is not published on the homepage.
