The Intermediate Wilderness Bushcraft starts where most bushcraft training finishes. It's built on the assumption that the elementary skills are genuinely comfortable rather than merely ticked off, and it goes further into the harder work: longer projects, more autonomy, less scaffolding along the way.

The course completes the two-tier progression that runs through the syllabus, with the six-day Elementary Wilderness Bushcraft as prerequisite. It sits alongside the specialist strands like Wilderness Wayfinder navigation and Woodcrafter axecraft rather than replacing them. Groups are kept low, though a specific cap is not published on the site.
